Name Change
The after-school program I work at just changed it's name - mostly to be able to distinguish it from other after-school programs. "Kids' Club" is too common, can't trademark it, etc.
I've gotten mixed reviews about the new name and I want to know what you think. I don't want to sway your opinion by telling you the reason behind the new name, but I will post again in a week or so, just in case you're curious.
So, the new name is: By The Hand Club For Kids

I saw this earlier today. My first reaction was "What?!" But, I think it's not too bad. It will likely be referred to as "By the Hand" I'm guessing, which seems to have a lot to do with worship as well as aiding and coming alongside one another. I can't say I liked it first off, but I think it will work.
Way to go on finally posting again!!

As opposed to "By the Book"? I like the implication of being led by the Spirit and not the Letter... or is it a threat that if they don't behave they will be smacked? Or are they all deaf kids who will be communicating by their hands? Or is the new emphasis on time management where the hand of the clock will dictate the schedule? Is "the hand" a landmark near where the kids get picked up and dropped off? My curiosity is killing me.
As a random "blah blah blah" blog reader, I feel honored that my opinion has been sought after and will therefore say it initially sounded not very catchy and slightly confusing, but like Kevin, I must say it is growing on me. It could be called "BTH" or "The Hand" or as a promising backup, "Blah blah blah Club for Kids".
